When people ask you for your opinion and if you are truthful they should be happy that you told them what you though and after that they should shut up and smile.
However most people now days don't resepect other peoples opinios so most people are afraid to tell the truth.
One thing about me: I got into more trouble by simply telling truth than by lying to someone.
If other people tell you what they think they should resepect your thoughs and views and you should resepect theirs.
